This page explains how EgyptUzbekistan.com ("we", "our") handles personal data when you visit the site, submit the request-a-quote form, or reach us on email, WhatsApp, or Telegram. We aim for the discipline GDPR expects of a B2B export operator, even where local Egyptian or Uzbek law is lighter.

1. Who we are

EgyptUzbekistan.com is operated by an Egyptian fresh-produce export company sourcing from Nile Delta farms and pack-houses and serving Uzbek importers. Contact details: [email protected] · WhatsApp +20 100 228 3133.

2. What we collect

Request-a-quote form. We collect company name, email, telephone number, the products you're interested in, and any free-text note you include. Submissions are processed by a Cloudflare Pages Function and stored in our internal CRM for the purpose of replying to your enquiry.

Email and messaging. If you reach us by email, WhatsApp, or Telegram, we keep the content of that correspondence as part of the commercial record.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-lived request logs containing IP address, user-agent, and request URL — used only for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate site analytics.

Cookies. The site does not set non-essential cookies. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, this page will be updated and a banner offered.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your request with an indicative quote.
  • To prepare commercial documentation (invoice, packing list, phytosanitary, ACID, COO) once an order is placed.
  • To send shipment-related updates while an order is in flight.
  • To respond to legal, customs, or banking enquiries we're required to honour.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

4. Where it's stored

Form submissions transit Cloudflare's global edge network. Replies and ongoing correspondence are stored in our email system and CRM, hosted in the EU and US respectively. Where data is transferred outside the EU, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our processors.

5. Retention

Active enquiry data is retained for as long as the enquiry is being worked. After that:

  • Closed enquiries (declined, lost, or unfulfilled) — 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
  • Active commercial accounts — for the lifetime of the relationship plus 7 years (Egyptian commercial-record retention).
  • Cloudflare server logs — short retention per Cloudflare's standard policy.

6. Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK or any jurisdiction with comparable privacy law, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it's wrong.
  • Delete it (subject to commercial-record obligations on active accounts).
  • Export it in a portable format.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be flagged with a banner on this page; the "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current revision.
